FIRE IN THE DARK EARRINGS

Artisan, handmade carved black onyx gemstone, short earrings with AAA Ethiopian opals and sterling silver

I started with these beautiful, faceted black onyx drops. I love the hole drilled in them that lets me add a shot of color. For these I added some fiery, AAA grade Ethiopian opals. Depending on the angle they flash a fiery orange or a zingy green. They are hanging on my argentium sterling silver handmade headpins. They hang down a bit over 1 1/4" (3.2 cm).
