WATERY DROPS EARRINGS
Artisan made aqua blue and purple earrings with enamel on fold formed copper and artisan lampwork.
I started these enameled copper drops by cutting, fold forming and hammering copper sheet to create a texture with pools and ripples, bringing to mind water flowing over worn boulders. I enameled it in 5 colors and added crackle enamel to create a rippling look and more depth. The enamel colors include aqua, purple, white and gray. They hang below aqua and purple artisan lampwork glass nuggets. I framed these with Swarovski crystals and wrapped below them with Czech glass seed beads on copper. All are wire wrapped with copper wire and are shown hanging on niobium ear wires. They hang down a bit less than 3 1/4" (8.3 cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the enamel drop.
