STILL WATERS EARRINGS
Handmade earrings with artisan lampwork, aqua carved amazonite gemstone leaves, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver.
The cool, watery colors in these lampwork beads by Susan Wehner just made me think of the still waters of a pond, with dappled light hitting it through the leaves of the trees. I framed them with Swarovski crystals and below them dangle carved amazonite leaves. All are wire wrapped on sterling silver wire and are shown hanging from sterling silver, french hook style ear wires. The earrings hang down a bit less than 2 3/4" (7 cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the leaf.
Metaphysically amazonite is said to encourage good luck and fortune. It is said to have a calming effect on the nervous system, which explains why these earrings just say ... calm ... to me.
