IN THE DESERT EARRINGS
Artisan made enamel earrings with a green cactus on copper enamel, artisan, etched dark green lampwork, green apatite and sterling silver
I enjoy enameling and for these earrings I created a little cactus on these lovely enameled, copper dangles. A small little yellow sun can be seen off in the distance. They hang below these earthy, etched lampwork beads made by Leslie Cifelli. The lampwork has cactus green, southwest red/orange and some blue all swirled together. Above and below are these gorgeous, faceted, gem grade, green apatite beads. They add some wonderful sparkle! These are wire wrapped with sterling silver wire and hang from sterling silver, hook style ear wires. When I torch enamel I start by cutting out the initial shape in copper and for these I domed the copper circle and then torch enameled them in multiple stages to add the different colors. They hang down a little over 2 1/2" (6.4 cm).
