RUSTIC PINK NECKLACE AND EARRINGS SET
Handmade necklace and earrings set with pink rhodochrosite gemstones, artisan lampwork and sterling silver.
Pretty pink with hammered textures in sterling silver sprinkled throughout. I love rhodocrosite and keep my eye out for lampwork beads that will be a nice match to it. I was lucky to find these artisan made, beautiful lampwork beads. They have swirls of pink, some lavendar, grey, beige and are encased with clear for stunning depth. They are a beautiful match to these A grade rhodocrosite beads. Among all these pinks are hammered beads in sterling silver. Sterling silver spacer beads help this hang beautifully. Hammered sterling silver chain adds length without adding a lot of weight.
In the earrings I used more of the gorgeous lampwork beads. Above them sits a leopard skin print, sterling silver bead. They are shown hanging from sterling silver hook style ear wires for a total length of about 1 1/2" (3.8 cm)
The beaded portion of the necklace is strung on professional grade beading wire with a silver nylon coating. Sterling silver crimps and wire guards connect to the chain. I hand forged a sterling silver hook clasp and gave it a hammered texture as well. The maximum length for this necklace is about 26" (66 cm). You can shorten it to about 21" (53.3 cm) and a lovely rhodocrosite bead dangles at the end of the chain.
