RED CREEK CRACKLE DROP EARRINGS
Handmade earrings with red, yellow, green carved red creek jasper gemstone beads and drops, black onyx, Czech glass, copper and niobium ear wires
I'm having fun exploring the world of crackle enamel. It took a bit of work but I was able to get these 2 drops to look fairly similar. The beauty of crackle enamel is that there is so much depth in the glass. These have 6 layers of color melted on and the crackle enamel causes the top layers to open up to reveal the lower layers. These colors go well with jasper. A carved red creek jasper bead hangs in the enamel drop. A mosaic creek jasper bead tops it off. Mosaic creek jasper is red creek jasper with pyrite inclusions. A Czech glass flower hangs below the jasper and a faceted black onyx bead is above. They are wire wrapped with copper wire and are shown hanging from hook style, niobium ear wires. They hang a bit over 2 3/4" (7 cm). Choose your preferred ear wire style.
