DAPPLED EARRINGS
Artisan made blue, green and white enamel earrings with lampwork glass, handmade hammered, forged and enameled copper drops, Swarovski crystals, copper and niobium ear wires.
In this design I wanted to combine crackle enamel with some texturing. I cut some copper circles, domed (on a dapping form) them, hammered them to add some texture and then enameled one side of them. These have 5 colors of glass on them. They hang below these beautiful, artisan made, ribbed bicones with a white base and reactive spots that include various blues and greens. I framed them with Swarovski crystals and copper spacers. They are wire wrapped with copper wire and are shown hanging from hook style, niobium ear wires. I can change to sterling hooks, leverbacks, marquise (V) style or surgical steel hook style ear wires if you prefer. They hang a bit over 2 1/2" (6.4 cm).
