TANTALIZING TEAL EARRINGS
Artisan made teal earrings with artisan, dichroic lampwork, shattuckite and turquoise gemstones, copper and niobium ear wires.
Shattuckite isn't a stone I find too often, but when I do I'm very excited because the patterns and colors in it are fabulous. I started with these shattuckite drops with colors ranging from pale green to bright turquoise. Above them are sparkly, artisan, teal dichroic glass lampwork beads. They combine beautifully with the stone. Between is a disk of Pilot Mountain turquoise from Arizona. They are wire wrapped with copper wire that I antiqued and are shown hanging from niobium shepherds hook style ear wires. They hang down 2 1/2" (6.4 cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the drop.
