LAVA AND SPOTS EARRINGS
Artisan made purple and black earrings with spotted handmade lampwork glass, lava, black tourmaline and sterling silver.
Lava can be one of the newer rocks on the planet. I was fortunate enough to be in Hawaii during a lava flow that you could hike to and watch as it spilled into the water. It was a very awesome sight! I started with the lava ovals and then started looking through my bead stash for the perfect complement beads. I personally love black and purple together so when I saw these fabulous, artisan made purple and black spotted beads in my stash they caught my eye immediately. I won't tell you how long I've been hoarding them. The step faceted black tourmaline tops it all off beautifully! Pretty, ringed sterling silver caps frame each bead. They are wire wrapped on a Bali, sterling silver, daisy headpin. They are shown hanging from sterling silver, hook style ear wires. The earrings hang down for a total length of a bit more than 2 1/4" (5.7 cm).
