GINGKO DROPS EARRINGS
Artisan made organic and rustic turquoise and purple enamel earrings with artisan lampwork, Pilot Mountain Arizona turquoise gemstone, Swarovski crystals and copper.
I do have some fun when I enamel. For these scalloped drops I used turquoise, white, dark purple and probably some other colors of glass, all on copper. They include turquoise, aqua, green and purple. The shape of the drops reminded me of gingko tree leaves. I sprinkled on some baking soda, fired them up and let them bubble and froth to give them a bit of a rustic look. Finally I accented them with gold. They hang below lampwork barrels made by Angie Roberts. I topped these with Pilot Mountain turquoise. Copper caps and Swarovski crystals add the final accents. They are wire wrapped with copper wire and are shown hanging from leverback, copper ear wires. They hang down almost 4" (10 cm).
