VINTAGE BOHO BOUQUET EARRINGS
Artisan made vintage look enamel earrings with pink boho bouquet on ivory and beige, antique look enameled copper, sterling silver key, Czech glass flower and leaves, Swarov*** crystals and sterling silver ear wires
Boho is an eclectic mix of different styles including the 60's and 70's look with flowers and other accents. These beautiful glass decals with pink flowers, a key and feathers were the boho inspiration for these earrings. Since they have a vintage vibe I wanted to make a crackle enamel background that looked like old paper with a bit of browning around the edges and an off-white base. It took me a few tries with various colors and combos to get the right look, but I finally succeeded. I enameled the drops with 4 different colors of glass and multiple layers of some. The last step in the enameling process is to carefully place the decal and then heat it just enough so the colors merge with the glass, but not so much that you burn out the color. And, yes I burned one out when I first started using decals. A sterling silver key, Czech glass flowers and leaves and Swarov*** crystals all dangle above the drop. They are wire wrapped with sterling silver wire and are shown hanging from hook style, sterling silver ear wires. They hang down 2 1/4" (5.7 cm).
