TRANSITIONS EARRINGS
Artisan made teal, red, white, purple enamel on copper earrings and sterling silver.
I had fun fold forming and enameling copper when I made these earrings. First I cut some squares of copper sheet and then fold formed the copper sheet to give it the creases. Then I filed them to remove the sharp edges. Next I enameled them with a tealy green
that transitions to a deep red. On top I melted some red glass threads and a coat of clear enamel. They still looked a bit boring so I added some crackle enamel, raspberry and gray. As they hung in the kiln the glass started oozing down the metal which created some
great patterns! They hang from my hand forged, hook style, argentium sterling silver ear wires. They hang down almost 2.5" (6.4 cm).

NOTE: What is pictured is the hook style ear wire in sterling silver. Please choose your preferred ear wire style.
