TIGER IRON DROPS EARRINGS
Artisan made red, black, brown earrings with tiger iron, artisan lampwork, tiger eye, jasper, hematite and sterling silver
Tiger iron is an interesting gemstone. Tiger iron has layers of hematite, red jasper and shimmery tiger eye. Tiger iron is also called mugglestone (for all you Harry Potter fans) since it was found in the Moclestone area of England. There beautiful drops are 6 sided and framed with faceted hematite beads. Above them are beautiful, artisan made lampwork crystals with transparent red on top, opaque red on the bottom and silvered ivory with fine silver sprinkles around the middle. Between the two I added dangles of tiger eye, red creek jasper and hematite. Everything is wire wrapped on sterling silver wire and they are shown hanging from sterling silver, hook style ear wires. They hang down 3" (7.6 cm). The earring length decreases by about 1/2" (1.3cm) when switched from ear wires to posts.
