STORM ON THE HORIZON EARRINGS
I picked these drops because they reminded me of what the sky looks like when a bad storm is coming in. I've only seen the sky with a yellow tinge once, during a bad lightning and rain storm in Colorado. My uncle and I were driving around as he showed
me interesting sights in Pueblo and, BAM, a lighting bolt hit the ground about 3 car lengths from his truck. That was pretty exciting! The ground lit up when the bolt hit. Very amazing!
But I digress :) The trapezoid red creek jasper drops are mostly yellows with some storm clouds in a blue gray color and hints of red show up here and there. They hang below artisan lampwork beads. I framed the lampwork with faceted citrine druzy beads and sterling silver caps. I wire wrapped them with argentium sterling silver wire. These earrings are shown hanging on hook style sterling silver ear wires. They hang down about 2.5" (6.4 cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the jasper drop.
