GOLDEN NEOPOLITAN EARRINGS
Handmade earrings with pink, black and gold leaf venetian bead, smoky quartz, pink opal gemstones and gold fill ear wires
This color combination reminds me of neopolitan ice cream sandwiches. :) Pink, brown and gold are a beautiful combination. I started with these Venetian beads. They have a pink base with a band of gold leaf. Black glass spots look brown and some aventurine adds a bit more sparkle. I framed them with gold filled beads. Below dangles a long, gorgeous, faceted smoky quartz bead framed by gold fill beads. Between I sprinkled more smoky quartz and pink opal gemstones. They are wire wrapped with gold fill wire. They are shown hanging from gold fill, hook style ear wires and hang down for a length of 2 1/2" (6.4 cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the smoky quartz.
Opal is the October birthstone.
